Columbia High School and the White Salmon Valley School District want the best for its students: success at whatever they choose to do in life. To ensure this success, students and parents must be familiar with the four new statewide graduation requirements established by the Washington State Board of Education. Beginning with the Class of 2008 -- students entering ninth grade in the 2004-05 school year -- all students in our district will be held accountable to these new requirements. Columbia High School operates on a 7-period semester schedule. This schedule makes it possible for students to earn a total of 3.5 credits each semester, with a possible 7 credits in one academic year. The school district policy states that a student must meet all graduaton requirements prior to graduation or they will not be allowed to walk in the graduation cremony or attend the senior trip. The graduation requirements for each graduation year follow, showing the number of credits required in different areas for each graduating class.
