The 2008/2009 school year begins August 27, 2009, and is scheduled to end on June 10, 2009. Scheduled vacations and early releases can be seen on the current year's calendar.

How can I find out about school closures and delays due to snow or other unexpected events?
Visit our district's snow closures page, where you can see what news organizations will carry notices when the schedule has changed. You can also sign up for email or text message alerts if you'd like.
When does the school day start and end?
Regular school days begin at 8:15 am and end at 3:10. Early release days end at 1:00. Half days (for parent conferences and some vacation starts) end at 12:05. See the 2008/2009 school calendar for particular dates of these special schedules.
When is the high school's graduation?
June 6, 2009.

How can I find out about sports events?

When do different sports seasons begin?
Fall sport practices begin before classes are in session. August 20th is the first day for football practices, and August 25th is the first day for volleyball and girls soccer. Winter sports (basketball and wrestling) begin in November, and Spring sports (track, baseball, softball, tennis, and boys soccer) begin in March. What courses are offered this year, and next?
Our 2007/08 schedule is available online and you can search our course catalog online to read course descriptions of the different classes offered. For the 2007/08 school year, CHS is moving to a seven-period schedule. Course descriptions for possible classes being offered next year in this new format will be available soon.
