Debbie McNamara Living Memorial WallThe Debbie McNamara Living Memorial Wall was dedicated in the fall of 2003 at the first home football game. Debbie, who passed away in August of 2002, was a long-time teacher in the White Salmon School District. Nominations are now being accepted for other names to be placed on this wall located on the new Bruin Football Stadium. Potential honorees will be nominated by, or to our committee by June 1 of each year. We will limit honorees to a maximum of two per year. Some years we will no doubt have two new names to add and other years one or maybe even no new names to add. Names will be added at the first home football game each fall. Last year (fall of 2005), Janet McCutcheon, long-time teacher at Columbia High School and the current Assistant Principal of both Columbia High School and Henkle Middle School, had her name added to the living memorial wall. She joins Lee Davis, long-time Columbia High School Principal, and Ken Nylin, former vocational agriculture teacher -- as well as Debbie McNamara -- as honorees on the memorial wall. There are five criteria to meet to have a name placed upon this prestigious wall. They are as follows:
Please submit to the school district office at 180 Washington Street by June 1, 2006, a written nomination describing how your nominee meets the above criteria of this Living Memorial Wall, or call the school district office (493-1500) with further questions. |
